Guidance on liming

For those of you planning on planting truffle trees on a commercial scale this autumn/winter, now is a good time to work out your liming and ground preparation plan.  This first stage is to have your soil fully tested and for those of you interested in our partnership programme, this is a completely free service we offer. We’ll check your soil conditions and work out exactly what needs to be done. If, for example, your field does need liming, we’ll also work with your local liming contractors to make sure that the right grade is used and applied in the correct manner. It couldn’t be simpler and  we’ll help with every stage.
If you’d like to know if your site is suitable or are interested in growing truffles, no matter where in the world you are based, please email/call and we’ll get the ball rolling for you: Shop@PlantationSystems.com or +44(0)1433 659 167

The prime tree planting time November – March is upon us. Traditionally, November to March are good months to plant, as the trees are dormant and planting in the winter allows the truffley-roots plenty of time to settle in before mycorrhiza and root-growth starts again in spring.
